Holy Land: An Essential Scouting Journey

by Diosnel Herrnsdorf

Just over two months before the scheduled date for our group’s major pilgrimage, we had the opportunity to undertake a scouting trip to Israel[cite: 11]. Designed specifically for travel professionals, this journey allowed us to experience firsthand the spiritual depth, history, and logistics of the region[cite: 11].

The Scouting Itinerary

Our journey began on February 25 with a cultural stopover in Madrid, before landing in Tel Aviv on February 27. From there, we carried out a comprehensive loop across the country:

  • Western Coast & Galilee: We traveled north along the Mediterranean coastline before settling in the region of Galilee and Tiberias.
  • Jerusalem as Main Hub: We headed south to the Holy City, making it our primary headquarters for exploring the Holy Sites.
  • The Dead Sea: We took a day to rest and reflect at the lowest point on Earth before returning to Jerusalem to conclude this memorable tour.

“Experiencing a destination of this significance before leading a group of pilgrims not only ensures seamless logistics, but transforms the journey into a deeply personal milestone.”

Over the coming weeks, we will share the detailed impressions, photographs, and key moments from this preparatory journey.
